Test strip to determine the bacterial vaginal infections

FRAUTEST diagnostic - a test strip to determine the bacterial vaginal infections

FRAUTEST diagnostic - a noninvasive test for self-diagnosis, easy to use at home. The test is intended for use by women who value their vaginal secretions, as abnormal, in order to get a preliminary diagnosis of the causes of abnormal vaginal discharge. Normal vaginal discharge translucent, not abundant, and odorless. The test can also be used in cases of itching or irritation in normal secretions.

Mechanism of action of the test strip is based on the definition of a change in pH and buffering capacity of vaginal secretions. With BV and vaginal infections, there is an increase in pH of vaginal secretions and a decrease in buffer capacity (watery discharge).

The test strip FRAUTEST consists of a conventional gasket with the inclusion of a test strip with a patented polymer containing a colorimetric pH indicator. Test changes the yellow on blue-green in contact with body fluids with a high pH-indicator and a low buffer capacity (watery discharge). The normal vaginal pH is 3,8-4,5. The test strip changes color when it begins to contact with liquid, which has a pH greater than 5.2, or pH in the range 4,5-5,2, but with a buffer capacity of less than 20 mm.

Test is different from the vaginal discharge of urine through the use of polymer matrix, which uses a special composition of ingredients, return to change the color back to yellow in response to concentrations of ammonia, which is contained in the urine.

PH indicator bound to the polymer and is on the polyester film, which is inserted between the two upper layers of absorbent pads. Physical contact of a woman's body with a diagnostic component is completely absent.

CONDUCTING THE TEST

Before testing, make sure the packing is tight dough, it should be open immediately before analysis. Each package of the test only for one time use.

1. Open the package and remove the test strip.
2. Attach the strip to underwear (Fig. 1), the projecting part in advance. Yellow liner should be in front of the vagina. The test strip can be worn as a normal pad for 6-12 hours or can be removed earlier.
3. When the test-strip moistened, or when you go to change it, prepare the enclosed plastic box.
4. Remove the liner from the strip, pulling the protruding portion (Fig. 2).
5. Put the liner on the white fabric in an open plastic box (Fig. 3). Close the box with liner. Wait 10 minutes before you check the color of the liner (Fig. 4).

EVALUATION OF RESULTS

Positive result

If the liner is stained in blue or green for 10 minutes, it means that the parameters of acidity and the risk of having violated or BV infection is very high. Any part of a blue or green spot on a yellow background indicators show positive results.

Note: If the patient is pregnant, color change may indicate a leakage of amniotic fluid.

A negative result

If the liner is not changed or color in the blue / green color, and then for 10 minutes the color returned to the original, this means that the parameters of pH are within normal limits and the risk of the presence of BV and infection is low.
Caution: The presence of Candida did not alter the pH of vaginal secretions, so if abundant selection continues, and the test result is negative, then should see a doctor and submit a smear on the flora to prevent candidiasis.

Upon receipt of a positive test result should visit your doctor for putting stroke on the flora and destination therapy. The colors stability test for 48 hours.
